Worst Day of the Year Ride(M) |
|
| Event Details: |
Event Description:
This great ride is SO VERY Portland.
Cold, Wet, and Raining...a perfect day for a ride. Last year 1,500 people braved the elements to tour the Rose City! Unfortunately(??), the weather did not cooperate- it was beautiful. This year we are keeping our fingers crossed for sideways rain, or maybe even a little sleet. Afterward enjoy the soul-warming FREE CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP, VEGETARIAN CHILI, AND CORNBREAD.
The ride is 18 miles long. It goes from Lucky Lab to River City Bicycles (coffee and doughnuts), across the river to REI (chai and fruit), recrosses the river then up to CCC (cocoa and cookies), over to Bike Gallery East (hot cider, apples and bagels),then back to Lucky Lab for chicken noodle soup, cornbread, and vegetarian chili.
A benefit for the Community Cycling Center's bicycle programs for low-income youth and adults.
There is a 2,000 rider limit.
Helmets are required, even if that gets in the way of your costume! |
