Event Description:
After a spectacular debut performance of one Sunday Parkways on June 22nd 2008, you asked for more. In 2009 there were 3 events and this year we're planning for FIVE so we can serve more neighborhoods.To make Sunday Parkways a reality, we need your help.
Looking at significant shortfalls in City budgets, Portland Transportation Options talked with our community partners. And they have stepped up to provide 2/3 of the support to bring Sunday Parkways back --- not once, but on five weekends this summer!
We need to raise the remaining 10% from you - people who live and work in Portland neighborhoods. Folks who loved Sunday Parkways last year OR want to bring the magic of bike riding, strolling, rolling or skipping along the street in a traffic-free environment.
As an added incentive, a contribution of $40 or more, will get you our highly coveted special edition Sunday Parkways bandanna. Only those who contribute $40 or more, or volunteer for three shifts (over the course of one, two or three events) this summer at our Sunday Parkways will own one of these.
