Event Description:
"Cause these Sistas Love to Cycle" Portland Sistas Cycling is a group of African-American women who enjoy road cycling and want to promote the sport to women, especially women of color. The club is organized through the site Meetup, which helps groups connect around a common interest.
From group rides to local bike clubs rides and charity rides, they encourage riders to join them for fun, fitness and the opportunity to explore the countryside from the seat of a bicycle. All riders and levels of fitness are welcome and the group pledges that no one is ever left behind.
This first ride is the short ride week (10 miles or less)
It will be BIG fun and....if you haven't been on your bike seat, this ride'll get you started!!
Meet at 33rd & North Marine Dr (flashing pedestrian right of way) at 8 AM. You can park your car at the site. Please do NOT leave valuables in your car. The ride is a total of 6 miles.
